1. Scope
This policy applies to deposits, progress payments, invoice payments, consultations, and residential construction or remodeling services purchased from Monolith Construction Group. It should be read together with the customer’s signed proposal, work order, construction agreement, change orders, and invoices. If a signed agreement provides more specific terms, those terms control except where applicable law provides otherwise.
2. Estimates and consultations
A customer may cancel or reschedule an unpaid consultation by contacting us before the scheduled time. If a consultation, design service, site assessment, or other pre-construction service carries a fee, the fee and its cancellation terms will be disclosed before payment. No undisclosed cancellation fee will be charged.
3. How to request a cancellation
Send a written request to contact@monolith-csg.com. Include the customer’s name, project address, proposal or invoice number, and the service or project being cancelled. We will confirm receipt and provide a written status or final accounting. Routine cancellation requests are accepted by email; if a statute or signed Project Agreement requires a different delivery method, follow the notice instructions in that agreement.
A request is not complete merely because a card charge is disputed. Contacting us first allows us to stop scheduling, material orders, or subcontractor commitments when reasonably possible. This does not limit any lawful cardholder dispute right.
4. Before work begins
If a customer cancels before on-site work begins, Monolith will refund the unused and uncommitted portion of amounts paid. The final accounting may deduct only amounts permitted by the signed Project Agreement and applicable law, including documented costs for completed design or administrative work, permits, engineering or other professional services, special-order or custom materials, supplier restocking or cancellation charges, and other project-specific commitments already made at the customer’s request.
Deposits are not automatically treated as fully non-refundable. Any non-refundable component must be disclosed before payment and remains subject to applicable cancellation laws.
5. After work begins
If a customer cancels after work begins, the customer is responsible for work properly performed through the effective cancellation date and for documented, non-cancellable project costs. These may include delivered or committed materials, permits, professional services, subcontractor commitments, reasonable restocking charges, and reasonable costs required to secure or demobilize the site. Any remaining unused balance will be refunded after final accounting.
Paid-for materials that cannot be returned will be handled as stated in the Project Agreement. When appropriate and legally permitted, ownership or delivery arrangements will be documented in the final accounting.
6. Special-order materials and third-party costs
Custom, fabricated, cut-to-size, tinted, or special-order materials may become non-refundable once the supplier accepts the order. Permit fees, design fees, engineering fees, and other third-party costs may also be non-refundable after they are incurred. We will identify known commitments in the proposal, change order, invoice, or final accounting and provide supporting information upon reasonable request.
7. Refund method and timing
- Approved refunds are initiated within 10 business days after written approval or completion of final project accounting.
- Card refunds are issued to the original payment credential whenever possible. We do not provide a refund to an unrelated card or person.
- If the original payment method is unavailable, we may use another documented method permitted by the payment network and applicable law.
- After we initiate a refund, the customer’s bank or card issuer may require additional time to post the credit.
- A refund confirmation will be provided by email or with the final accounting.
8. Cancellation by Monolith
If Monolith cancels a project and the cancellation is not caused by the customer’s breach, unsafe conditions, nonpayment, or inability to obtain required access or approvals, we will provide a final accounting and refund any unearned, uncommitted balance. Completed work and materials properly supplied remain payable as provided by the Project Agreement and applicable law.
9. Statutory cancellation rights
Some transactions signed at a customer’s home or another qualifying location may carry a federal or Florida right to cancel until midnight of the third business day after signing. When a transaction qualifies, the signed Project Agreement will provide the legally required notice and instructions. Those statutory rights control over any inconsistent part of this policy. This website policy does not replace the cancellation notice that may be required with a particular contract.
10. No shipping or product-return program
Monolith is a local service business and does not operate a general online retail or shipping program. Materials are procured and delivered as part of a specific construction project. Returns of unused project materials depend on supplier acceptance, condition, timing, and the applicable Project Agreement.
11. Questions or payment concerns
Contact us at contact@monolith-csg.com or (954) 817-3757. Please allow us a reasonable opportunity to review invoices, payment records, photographs, signed approvals, and project documentation. Nothing in this policy waives rights provided by law or by the customer’s card issuer.
